Strawberry Pie

Ingredients

1 9″ pie shell with top crust

1 quart fresh strawberries
1 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon sugar
3 Tablespoon quick cooking tapioca
2 Tablespoon butter

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Remove stems from berries and slice them in half or thirds, depending
on size. Mix berries with 1 cup sugar and tapioca. Pour into unbaked
pie shell. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust, flute edges, and
vent top. Sprinkle top crust with 1 tablespoon sugar and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then lower oven heat to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes longer or until light brown.
